What I Ate on Wednesday (11) WIAW

I hope you were wondering what I ate today because that’s what I’m going to tell you right now.

Oh, you weren’t?

Can you then at least sink your eyes into that carton of gorgeous dragon fruit that screams awesome?

You surely can. Those are delicious, no doubt.

.

PS: Have you checked out my new recipe index? I think its much neater and nicer looking now. I hope you like it as much as I do.

.

By the way, do you think China is a threat to your country? I’m gonna be tested that on Friday. Please help.

.

Anyway, my delivery from iHerb came a couple days ago and boy were they quick! For a delivery halfway across the globe :-)

To my joy and excitement, these arrived…

.

PB2 powdered peanut butter

(Source)

.

Organic Hard White Whole Wheat Flour

.

Unrefined Mascobada Sugar & Chestnut Flour

.

Unrefined Mascobado Sugar

.

Chestnut Flour

.

Atkins Bars: Peanut Caramel Cluster Bar (from 1st delivery), Caramel Chocolate Peanut Nougat,  Dark Chocolate Decadence bars

.

These are gorgeous stuff!!!!!!

.

SweetLeaf Lemon Drop Stevia

(Source)

.

Stevita Toffee Flavoured Stevia

(Source)

.

All these items are not sold in Singapore and I’m a sucker for not-sold-in-Singapore stuff so I was stoked by the delivery. I prefer the NuNatural’s stevia over the above which I would like better in some baked goods instead of in drinks. The Atkins bars were just awesome! I’ve finished most of them already. :-) As for the PB2, it tastes like peanut flour and both are as good.

.

Okay, so what did I eat today?

Peas and Crayons

.

A Blueberry Bun + A 400ml cup of Unsweetened Soy Milk

.

A 400ml cup of Soy 5-Grain Milk made from the original flour!

.

Some Gorgeous Dragonfruit (about 3/4 of these)

.

Awesome Vegan Tom Yam Fried Rice from the hawker center

.

A large handful of Sweet Peanuts for a share of proteins

.

.

Happy WIAW, guys! :D

  1. How much was your shipping for all those goodies? I’ve always wanted to buy stuff from iHerb but decided against it for fear of exorbitant shipping! And that chestnut flour is what I’ve been eyeing for a long time! Have you tried it yet?

all the best for ur essay – you probably need to state both the positive and negative effects of china on your country huh? – GP?

    • The shipping price is USD$6 for 4 pounds of items. I’ve compared the prices inclusive of the shipping and conversion to SGD and found that its a pretty fair prrice! Especially for vitamins :-) Haha I haven’t tried the chestnut flour yet but I will once my A levels are over (next week!!!). The essay is for China Studies in English, sort of a china-based version of GP :-)

  2. I’ve always wanted to try sweet leaf stevia!! Have you ever tried it before?! You’ll definitely have to let me know how it is… every time I walk by it in whole foods I want to snap up the english toffee flavor. I’m intrigued by the chestnut flour too! I’ll have to see if they have that in markets by me because I love playing with the different flours. I had never heard of that before, but what flour doesn’t exist these days?!

    • Honestly, I don’t quite like the lemon drop stevia! It is very slightly bitter and has a sicky aftertaste so I don’t add it to drinks except iced green tea. I’m not too sure of the other flavours though. I love playin with different flours too! Its always nice to see what happens when different flavours are added– Can’t wait to try that chestnut flour!! :D
