About

Flour is sold in bags, packaged.

The flour is within the bag, enclosed by the packaging. The bag/packaging is important. The way it has been designed may deter you from buying the flour. It may look cheap and you may dismiss it because you want quality flour, although the aesthetics of the packaging never necessarily reflects the quality of the flour. Even so, whatever the price the bag of flour is, the bag is important because you need the bag to contain the flour. Without the bag, it’s practically impossible to transport the flour and hence acquire the flour. Nonetheless, the bag is easily neglected because you don’t need the bag to make a dessert, all you need is the flour. Its the flour that does the job.

I have a fiery passion and overflowing love for baking. I started this website in February 2010, at first to simply keep a log of my baking experiments. Today, it has evolved into what I hope is an amalgamation of my various interests — baking, ‘designing’ and ‘writing’. I’m a student, amateur baker, blogger and on top of that, a daughter, sister and friend, even though I don’t carry my many hats very well. I’m not an expert in anything but I have a wide range of interests spanning from science to origami to philosophy and beyond and would love to bring these interests into discussion in any of my posts. Ultimately, my greatest obsession is baking and I still brim with childlike joy and amazement whenever I see separate ingredients breathtakingly come together to give rise to even the most humble of creations.

Here, you get the flour without the bag. You get me without my ‘packaging’. This is me at my most authentic, free from the physical constraints of my body and separate from my aesthetics. You will find that I have a genuine burning passion for baking, that I love sharing a good anecdote, and perhaps you may find that I have an odd sense of humor that requires some warming up to. You may discover that I’m somewhat stubborn in my beliefs and ideas, and I’ll admit to that — I’m the definition of a work in progress — and I’m working on it. I’m not the most exuberant person and I may even seem a tad offensive at times. But above all, I’m as genuine as a cyber persona can be, funloving, free spirited, liberally seasoned with wittiness and topped off with a pinch of crazy. Every day, I’m growing as a person and I hope you’ll join me on my journey as I grow mentally, spiritually, and as a baker and blogger.

If you have any questions, have anything to say (even if its something like ‘hi!’) or would like to collaborate with me, please drop me a comment or email me at adessertdiet@gmail.com and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I’ll love to get to know you so don’t be shy!

Greetings from a new foodie blogger

    Hi there!

My name is Steve Walters and I recently started blogging at http://www.eatingbangkok.com, which is currently being updated with recipes, but in the next few months will be my vehicle for covering the food and restaurant scene in Bangkok Thailand.

I am now in the process of meeting as many food bloggers as I can and I found your site http://ibakewhoeats.wordpress.com recently and was pretty impressed. I’ve added your site to my Foodie Blogs list here: http://www.eatingbangkok.com/foodie-blogs/ and would also like to add you to my blogroll.

If you could add my site to your blogroll and write back to let me know it has been added I will add you to mine as well and the exchange would be greatly appreciated!

As you might imagine I am very excited to get moved to Bangkok and get started on covering the food scene there as I feel it is an area that isn’t well covered by English speaking bloggers. I plan on adding loads of great reviews, pictures and even video and will be holding contests as well. It should be fun, entertaining and informative for everyone that visits.

Thank you so much in advance for adding me to your blogroll and I look forward to reading your posts (I’ve subscribed!) and maybe even featuring some of your own posts as I do plan on a weekly roundup of Thai themed recipes and posts from other food bloggers.

    Warm regards,
    Steve

P.S. If you are on Twitter I would love to have you as a follower and I follow back:
